Speaking test
Part 1 (Interview)
– Are there many children in the area where you live?
– Do you prefer traditional art or modern art?
– Why do you like traditional art?
– What are the advantages and disadvantages of traditional and modern art?
– Do you like chocolate? Why?
– Why don’t you like it?
– Why is chocolate so popular?
– Do you think people in your country eat too much chocolate?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a gift you have received. You should say:
– what the gift was
– who gave it to you
– on what occasion they gave it to you
and explain how you felt when you received it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– Why do some people become greedy and want everything for themselves?
– What are the advantages and disadvantages of this kind of personality trait?
– What effect does this behaviour have on the people around them?
– How can society encourage people to be less materialistic?
– Why are teenagers often attracted to unusual things like odd jewellery or tattoos?
– Do you think schools or parents should guide teenagers about these interests?
