Part 1 (Interview)
– What type of colors do you like?
– Do you prefer bright colors or dark colors?
– What type of TV series do you usually watch?
– Do you like watching TV alone or with other people?
– How much time do you usually spend watching TV each day?
– Do you read magazines?
– What type of magazines do you enjoy reading?
– Do you usually read magazines alone or share them with others?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a newspaper or magazine you like reading. You should say:
– what it is called
– what it is about
– how often you read it
and explain why you enjoy reading it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– Do you think young people today are interested in newspapers and magazines? Why or why not?
– What skills do you think a journalist needs to have?
– Do you think journalists should always tell the truth in the news?
– How much responsibility do you think journalists have toward the public?
– Do you think watching the news is important even if the stories don’t affect you directly?
– How has the way people read news changed in recent years?
