Part 1 (Interview)
– Do you work or are you a student?
– What subject are you studying, or what kind of work do you do?
– Do you enjoy your subject or job? Why or why not?
– Do you find your studies or work challenging at the moment?
– Let’s talk about household technology.
– Which appliance is the most important in your home, such as a coffee maker or toaster?
– How often do you use this appliance at home?
– What would you do if this appliance stopped working?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a website or app you have used to buy or sell second-hand or recycled items. You should say:
– what the website or app is
– what kind of items it offers
– how you used it
and explain why you found it useful.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– Do you think it is a good idea for children to wear second-hand clothes? Why or why not?
– What impact does waste have on the environment?
– How serious is the problem of waste in your country?
– What do people usually do with unwanted clothes or household items where you live?
– How can recycling and reusing items help reduce waste?
– What more can governments and individuals do to manage waste better?
