IELTS Writing Test – General Training
Writing task 1 (a letter)
You have recently moved to a new apartment and would like to write a letter to your former neighbour who helped you with something. In your letter:
– Describe how your neighbour helped you
– Explain why you moved to a new place
– Invite your neighbour to visit you in your new home.
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Some elderly workers look forward to retirement, but when they retire, they do not feel happy.
What are the reasons for this? What can be done to help them enjoy their retirement?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
