IELTS Writing Test – General Training
Writing task 1 (a letter)
Your office manager has recently announced that they will be leaving the company. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:
– express your feelings about their decision to leave
– explain why you will be sorry to see them go
– ask about their future plans
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Some schools make physical education compulsory for students. Do you think it is important for schools to require physical activities? Are some types of physical activities more beneficial than others?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
