Speaking test
Part 1 (Interview)
– Where is your hometown?
– What is your hometown famous for?
– Does your hometown have an interesting history?
– Are there any historical buildings or landmarks there?
– Have you learned much about the history of your hometown?
– Do you think it is important to know your hometown’s history?
Part 2 (Cue Card)
Describe a time when you had to fix something. You should say:
– what it was
– why it was broken
– how you fixed it
and explain how you felt after you repaired it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
– What are practical skills?
– Why are practical skills important in daily life?
– Which do you think is more important nowadays: practical skills or computer skills? Why?
– Should schools teach more practical skills?
– Do you think robots are better than humans at performing practical tasks?
– How might technology change the need for practical skills in the future?
